Dr. Matt Van de Graaf is a Virginia native. After growing up in Hampton Roads, he studied Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia. He then attended medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School where he was inducted into both the Gold Humanism Honor Society & the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in his final year. After graduating from EVMS, he moved all the way across the Potomac River to complete his pediatrics residency at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. After completing residency, he & his partner (who is an ObGyn physician) re-located to begin their careers in Richmond, VA.

 Dr. Van de Graaf loves the full spectrum of pediatrics – from navigating newborn care with a NICU graduate to adolescent health. He especially values helping families with asthma, eczema, & allergies. Outside of work, Dr. Van de Graaf enjoys swimming, running, & anything outdoors.
