Behavioral Health
RVA Pediatrics offers in House Behavioral Health Services at our Ridgefield Location!
At RVA Pediatrics, we recognize that a child’s emotional and mental well-being is just as important as their physical health. For that reason, we are proud to introduce compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health services for children and their families from the comfort and familiarity of our office. Our in-house behavioral health specialist works closely with our patients to develop individualized treatment plans that address a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, difficulty adjusting to life changes and more.
Support For a Wide Range of Needs
Our goal is to provide practical strategies, emotional support and coordinated care that helps children thrive at every age. Our integrated behavioral health services are designed to support children experiencing a variety of emotional and behavioral concerns, including:
- Anxiety and excessive worry
- Depression and mood changes

- Behavioral difficulties
- Adjustment to family changes, illness, grief, or other changes
- School-related or social stress
A Collaborative, Whole-Child Approach
Our Behavioral Health Specialist collaborates directly with our pediatric providers to ensure treatment plans addressing mental health are coordinated, personalized and aligned with each child’s medical needs. This allows us to identify potential concerns earlier and address them more efficiently, helping children receive support when they need it most.
Convenient Care in a Trusted Environment

Our families are now able to access much-needed behavioral health care in a familiar and comfortable setting. This approach reduces common barriers such as long wait times, travel to outside specialists and the uncertainty that can come with navigating referrals. Receiving mental health care right here at our practice makes it easy for you and your child to receive high-quality behavioral health support as soon as you need it.
We look forward to better serving our patients and helping children thrive both emotionally and physically.
