Kirsten Slagle was on the Dean’s list at Randolph-Macon College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and graduated Cum Laude. She also completed her Master of Science in Nursing (Pediatric) at Virginia Commonwealth University while working as a Registered Nurse on the Acute Care Pediatric Unit at MCV Medical Center.

Kristen completed training to be a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) in 2018 and enjoys helping families throughout the stages of the breastfeeding process, from new parents to those just needing a refresher. She joined RVA Pediatrics in 2009.

Kirsten is a Richmond (Midlothian) native and has stayed local throughout her career. She and her husband have two children, Hailey and Spess. Kirsten enjoys being active and fit with her family through running and other outdoor activities.
